Antibes: The Belem returns to Port Vauban in March 2024

The 2024 sailing schedule for the three-masted Belem was unveiled at the end of November 2023, including the Mediterranean transport of the Paris 2024 Olympic flame from Athens to Marseille over the period from April 27 to May 8, 2024.

"The greatest role of his life

Christelle de Larauze, Managing Director of the Belem Foundation, said in a press release:

" This sailing is an honor for the Belem, which is going to play the biggest role of its life. Our 2024 program has been designed around the great navigation that will see the Belem bring the Olympic Flame of Paris 2024 to France from Greece, carried by some twenty young people from the territories of the Caisses d'Epargne, historical patrons of the three-masted ship".

During this sailing campaign, the Belem Foundation has announced 10 festive and eventful ports of call, including 5 Mediterranean ports:

  • Le Port de Cannes from March 12 to 14;

  • Le Port d'Antibes from March 22 to 24;

It will then stop over in La Rochelle from June 20 to 23 for the Fêtes Maritimes, in Bordeaux from June 27 to 30 for the Fête du Vin, in Brest from July 12 to 17, in Douarnenez from July 18 to 20, and finally in Saint-Malo for the Fête du Patrimoine on September 21 and 22.

Each stopover will be open to the public, with some free of charge (Athens, Marseille and Saint-Malo).

Port Vauban d'Antibes:

Le Belem will drop anchor in Antibes from March 22 to 24, after passing through Toulon and Cannes. She will be moored at the dock, an ideal position in the heart of the waterfront, where she was already positioned in 2018.
